Our clients have different reasons for getting their butt and butt crack waxed. Sometimes it starts because our estheticians have suggested it as part of our full monty waxing service. Clients keep waxing their butts because they realize how much cleaner and hygienic waxing is versus having a woolly ass crack. Between regular everyday work sweat and cheap toilet paper, there is a high probability of of having the oh so dread *cue the horror music* SWAMP ASS. Swamp ass is not sexy ya’ll. From our sportier clients we have heard on multiple occasions that having the hair removed has made it easier to run, jump, cycle, swim and ride a horse without hair catching or chafing. That’s pretty impressive.
For men’s butt waxing we use soft strip wax on the cheeks and hard wax down the middle. You can request to wax your butt cheeks only, your crack only or do a full butt wax that includes both.
These are the most frequently asked questions about men’s butt waxing:
Is men’s butt waxing really that common?
Yes, absolutely. Our clients come from all walks of life but what they all have in common is a dislike of body hair and a want for cleanliness.
This sounds painful!
It may sound painful, but really it’s not that bad. Waxing your butt cheeks is equivalent of waxing your back. Just lower. The butt crack is pretty quick. We use hard wax to lessen the pain.
I only want to wax my my ass crack, is that possible?
Yes. If we are doing a butt crack only wax we make sure that only what is on the inside of your cheeks is taken. So unless you are dropping the soap and spreading the cheeks no one will be able to tell at first glance. During your consultation let your esthetician know how far out onto the cheeks you would like to go to make sure you are on the same page.
Will my butt be itchy after waxing?
Not necessarily. Every client has a different experience. If the hair was soft to begin with chances are you will not be itchy. Either way, waxing your butt has less of an itch factor than shaving your butt.
Will waxing my butt thin out my hair?
Yes. Over time we will kill enough hair follicles that your hair won’t be as dense. Also the hair itself does come back finer. It does take time, but you should notice a difference after your first wax.
In what position will I be for my butt wax?
Depends on a couple of different factors. Generally your will be flat on your stomach for most of the service. Some clients may be asked to go on all fours, head down, butt up. Is this avoidable? Not really. If we want to get the cleanest wax possible we need access to every nook and cranny.
Do men have a wiping problem when there is hair back there?
Outside of taking a shower every time you drop a deuce, even the best wiper has a little trail left. Aren’t you tired of carrying wet wipes with you to bathroom or having to shower after dropping the kids off to the pool? Why leave more places for the dirt to get stuck? Running poop through chicken wire will not end well guys. This gentlemen, is a life changer! Your laundry will thank you as well!
Can I get a butt crack wax if I have hemorrhoids?
We will say consult with your doctor before coming in. We will work with you but we may deny service if we think it is not safe to move forward. If there is old damage from previous hemorrhoids we will be careful around it.
I have an STD or other infection, can I still get a butt wax?
We take any all diseases and infections seriously. We take every precaution to make our services safe for all of our clients and ourselves. If we see an outbreak, obvious signs of infection, cuts, sores or compromised skin we will deny service. As long as your skin is under control, we will all be fine. We would appreciate a heads up. Just let the esthetician know before the start of your service.
